How North Metro Atlanta homes should handle pine pollen season
A yellow film on every windowsill is not a personal failing. It is March in Cherokee County.
Why pollen is a cleaning problem here
Loblolly pines around Woodstock, Canton, and East Cobb release a fine, waxy pollen that sticks to paint, quartz, and HVAC returns. Wiping it with a dry cloth smears it. A damp microfiber pass, then a dry pass, is the sequence that actually clears a sill.
What we change on the checklist
From March through May we weight the visit toward entries, sills, porch doors, and the first six feet of flooring. Ceiling fans and returns get a dedicated pass. If you only book monthly in winter, this is the season to step up to bi-weekly.
What you can do between visits
Keep a designated entry mat, knock shoes down before the oak floors, and run the HVAC filter on the manufacturer’s pollen-season interval. We will handle the rest of the film.
